The Ryukyu People’s Struggle for Independence

Co-created these two comics with Ryukyu independence leader Robert Kajiwara. Okinawa went 68 days without a COVID case until the US military held a Fourth of July BBQ party… a perfect illustration of the bloody US empire’s “independence.” Both America and Japan are only creating more suffering in Okinawa, especially for the many Ryukyu elders vulnerable to COVID.
